Systems Administrator/Programmer

We are seeking a full-time Systems Administrator/ Programmer with OS/400 Operating system knowledge (V6.x or higher), to include PTF’s, CUM tapes, 3rd party installs, automation, performance and tuning. Also local HA and DR replication, CNC referencing, package builds, tools upgrade, environment building, LPAR creation on Power6machines, Storage Management on SAN, AIX, LINUX and Windows.
This position is located in Orange County, California and you must currently live in or near this area.

Requirements for this position:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science,
• 5+ years work experience as a Senior Systems Programmer supporting OS/400, AIX and Unix.
• A solid knowledge of iOS V6R1 operating system and IBM, i-series and Power 6 hardware is essential (work management, OS tailoring, and analyzing performance data)
• Highly developed knowledge of IBM's LPAR ,HMC, and IVM technologies (creating an Lpar, managing HMC fix levels, managing PowerVM, and server firmware, ).
• Experience writing RPG, CL and SQL queries, and API*s.
• Experience installing PTFs. With tools such as Mimix and Visision.
• Strong working knowledge of Storage Management on SANs (IBM, EMC, Hitachi) and fiber switches, utilizing various SAN management tools
• Working knowledge of Shell scripting/programming in an AIX/Unix environment.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale technical projects with assigned technical personnel to successful completion
• Strong experience with JDE on AS400.
• VMware and\or JDE CNC experience is a plus. •
• Strong knowledge of computer operations, midrange systems, and enterprise servers
• Strong knowledge of Network Management, batch processing, and online applications
